T'was The Night Before Christmas...

Holy cow I have so much to blog! First, Happy 2011 to you! We came home from Utah yesterday hoping to find the warm temps we'd left behind but it's freezing here too! However, 50 deg is still better than 10 :) But our house was 59! Brr! And the bummer is one side of the house's heater isn't working so well. So here I sit- my mousing hand mostly frozen. But I'm a dedicated gal and I gotta start the posts.

Christmas Eve was splendiferous. Why is blogger underlining that word? That's totally a word- ask Fancy Nancy. We had our usual program with Amy and Co., opened the designated Christmas Eve presents and the kids got to act out the Nativity. They're getting old enough and we have enough of them that it actually came together pretty well.
And we got buddy pictures.
Angel and Shepherd.
Shepherd and Wise Man.
Mary and Wise (wo)Man
Crazy Joseph and Donkey. Thanks to Miranda for our costumes and script :)
They love each other so much. We are so blessed to have them so near!

After cousins went home, the kids put out mint Oreos and Eggnog for Santa this year. Then we shewed them to bed, tucked them in and commanded them to fall asleep. However, the magic of Christmas was playing in their minds and it was not to be. Emma and Holly were awake until about 10.
As soon as I saw fatigue had finally won out, Santa and Mrs Claus got busy. As in, we had way too much to do and I had saved basically all my wrapping for that night. And poor Santa still had to get a bike, a scooter and A ZuZu Pet track put together. Holly was the easy one- Webkinz again. A family for her beloved "Coconut".
Our magical living room awaiting a morning filled with squeals of joy.

So sad I missed the show! My favorite part, of course. Glad you pulled it off without me.
Merry Christmas to everyone, looks like a great time. Thanks for being so dedicated.
