Summer Treat

Even though I though my camara did a rather pathetic job of capturing this unbelieveable storm we're having right now (a very daunting, probably impossible task for any camara), I had to post it anyway and just say that I love the Monsoons we get here. For me, they make up for alot of the summer heat. I don't think I've ever seen such non-stop lightning! And you can't see the sheets of rain coming down in the video b/c it's too dark but it's pretty amazing too. Anyway, this is more for those of you that are not in AZ right now to witness the real (way cooler) version.

Sadie Baby

Yes my little baby is growing up. We went to the Pediatrician today for the 18 month check-up. She was all of 20 lbs 2 oz. 30 and a half inches. My doctor said "Well, she's still her!" She's in about the 10%. "Someone has to be there" was another comment from my doctor. I like my doctor because she also let me escape with only 1 immunization for Sadie and didn't make a big stink about putting off the other 3 she wanted her to get. Sadie did not cry or even really notice the shot. The nurse seemed really happy about that. It must get old inflicting pain on unsuspecting infants everyday. I really don't think I could handle that job. Sadie is starting to like to dress up. She brought me this dress to put on her. She loves these kitty ears so I'll probably have her be a kitty for Halloween.

Little Preschooler!

Today was Holly's first day of Preschool. She was excited but of course didn't know what to expect. She is definetly ready. We have an awesome lady in our Ward who does a Preschool at her house and does an awesome job. So it's also close and Holly has a lot of friends from the Ward she knows going there too!

Funny things Holly says: When she pronounces a word wrong or misuses it and I correct her she says back "No, thats how you say it in Spanish mom." That cracks me up everytime.

One time she was asking me how Ariel breathes underwater. I came up with a semi-creative possibity which I can't remember now. Then she said "Hmm...I think it's because she's just a cartoon." You can't disagree with logic like that!

"Don't laugh at me!" we hear all the time when she says something cute. We try to explain that we just think she's cute or funny but she still doesn't like it. I'm not sure that's something funny but she sure says it alot.

"Miss Rhonda" is also one of the 5 or so people that looks at my blog so HI RHONDA! Thanks for making Holly's first Preschool day super! She had a great time and is excited to go back on Thursday :)

BACK TO SCHOOL!

Going back to school went off without a hitch this morning and no tears- except a few from mom on the way back home. I can't believe the day is already here!

Emma's a little nervous about learning multiplication and cursive but also really excited for school.

Ready for 1st grade! It's going to be so weird (and hard) to have Eli gone for so long now too.
