After putting up a fight, Sadie's other front tooth finally came out :)

She's a disabled apple eater for awhile. "Om, can you cut my a-ul..."

Emma's had 20-20 vision in one eye for a couple years and not-so-good vision in the other. She felt like her imperfect eye might be getting worse, so we went to the eye doctor. He told us about a CRT lens. It's a hard contact lens that acts like a retainer for your teeth, but for your eye. You only wear it at night and it does something to correct your vision while you're sleeping. Then during the day you can see 20-20 in both eyes. It fixes the problem (as long as you wear it at night) instead of just masking it like regular contacts you wear during the day. He said it may help her vision permanently in the long run too. Pretty cool! So we decided to do it.

Kinda scary putting a hard object into your eye for the first time!

But she did great! Oh and she chopped her long hair. I love it, but she looks even more grown up now! :(
We had to get used to doing homework again.

Our "girls" bookclub met for the second time. This was for "Little House on the Prairie". It was fun walking in and seeing all the small versions of my bookclub friends. :) We talked for awhile about it and then the girls got to play and eat watermelon.
We had a Stake Activity Days activity (girls ages 8-11) that I got to help with. This is probably 2/3 of the group. Think we've got a few kids around here? Definitely one of my favorite things about where we live.

Our ward

The stake leaders did a great job :)

I'm loving our lighter and closer-to-home extracurricular activity schedule this year. No karate and gym. Holly has been missing gym a little but loves soccer too. She's a on team with lots of friends and they practice right at our park! Yay!

Emma's on the high school swim team and really liking it. She got sick the day they had their first meet but we're looking forward to the next one.

Sadie started a dance class that also in our neighborhood! :)

Eli doesn't have a sport right now which is nice while he's settling into Jr. High and getting used to the homework load. He's still planning on doing cross country for the winter season :)
Holly makes a great tutor for Sadie (when they're both cooperating). One of my favorite sights. This was an impromptu art lesson.

I'm so glad we're in September now and getting so close to fall!!!!
