Videos

For some reason I'm a little behind the times and have fairly recently discovered the video option on my camara. I knew it was there but I never got around to figuring it out. Little did I know there was nothing to figure out- just pushing a button. Anyway, so I've been taking more little movie clips and I just love it. Here's a couple from the past few days.

This one makes me laugh because I just love how Emma pretends like she doesn't know I'm recording her and you can see her glance at the camara and smile. She likes to feign shyness.

She loves this "Camp Rock" CD that Dana got free from work. Best Western was one of the sponsers for the movie and she and my niece also got to go with Dana and other employees to see it before it was actually out.

I just get a kick out of Emma growing up. She's a really fun, sweet little girl.

"Color"

There is nothing that Sadie likes to hear more than the words "Do you want to color?" Whenever she sees markers, crayons, chalk, a pen, etc., (often from across the room) she's reaching for them and making noises for me to get them for her. It's hard to resist because she loves coloring so much and gets so excited when she gets them. When she does color those colors go everywhere as you can see- but that's what washable crayons are for right?

11 Years

Thanks to my wonderful sister Amy, Dana and I got a night away for our anniversary. I'm not sure when the last time I was able to sleep in was, but it was long enough ago for me to know that it is PRICELESS! I forgot to bring my camara when we went to the Gainey Ranch pools but it was amazingly beautiful and so fun to just swim around and float and relax without worrying about someone drowning. If I had my camara I definetly would have taken a picture of the duck swimming around the pools.
Overall an extremely awesome getaway. Definetely the best anniversary we've had post-children. I feel so blessed to be married to such a wonderful man.

Mt. Pleasant, Utah

We had a great time being at Grandma and Grandpa Kleven's for the 4th. Mt. Pleasant is a little town in Utah near Manti. The festivities included: A cannon soundoff at 6 am. (startles me every year even though I know it's coming) (it might have something to do with being sound asleep), a yummy pancake breakfast, a fun run, a parade, a feastival (that was a typo but actually works out because that's what most people do there), and the best fireworks show there is viewed from the high school field.

Of course the kids LOVED grabbing the taffy, tootsies, popsicles, and any other treats thrown towards the crowd.

Our family in Grandma and Grandpa's backyard- it is kid heaven back there!
