In the morning Dana's work sponsored a "Camp Rock 2" preview at a theater in Phoenix. It was really cute and it's real hush-hush so don't ask me to relay any of the story line to you. I know... you're dying! But you'll have to wait for the Disney Channel to show it early Sept.
Seriously though, it was pretty cute. And fun music.
At the same time there was a Stake Activity Day activity that Emma went with her cousins to. There were lots of cute classes. She really liked the "Orange Julius" class. She was kind of sad to miss the movie but I let her choose and was happy that she chose Activity Days.
Then we were planning to help one of my dear friends move to a house in my ward, but couldn't get a hold of her, so we had lunch and I did one load of laundry and we cleaned up the house. Tatum was having a stop of her "Amazing Race" birthday party here and the house needed a little help anyway.
Awhile back (before we knew about the day's universal appeal) we had bought DiamondBacks tickets through Dana's work. Then a few days later we got an invitation for "Wing Orthodontics" ice skating party. You didn't know we went to the orthodontist? Yeah well this is our prize for having a one free consult there. Pretty awesome. So anyway, they were kind of at the same time. We decided to hit the rink early and leave early. How many 3 year olds can enjoy an entire baseball game anyway?
Hurray! Finally some pictures right? Were you astonished that I hadn't included a ton of photos like I normally do? Well never fear. Or are you like Dana and scroll down someone's entire post before reading it? {By "someone" I mean "me". He's not a blog reader. As a result, he thinks all my posts are brilliant. He's so very sweet.}
Sadie really likes to sing. For the "Camp Rock" preview they gave out these little microphones. So it was cute whenever she was singing, to see her using her microphone all day.
We were the first ones out there. Dana skated with Sadie like this for an hour.
She loved it!
He had already run 11 mi. that morning and the skates were hurting his feet but whenever he took a little break, this is what he got.
And he's a sucker for this girl- let me tell you.
Eli tried a couple jumps but I didn't get a good picture.
Holly ventured from the wall a couple times.
They all had stripes so were easy to pick out. Kind of like "Where's Waldo?"
Then they de-winterized their clothes in the car as we drove to the game. We were all feeling the excitement in the air when we got there.
We had some colorful language around us but it was a great time. "DiamondBacks" beat the "Rockies" Yea!! Fun family day. Exactly the kind of Saturday we love.

Holy smokes that is a full Saturday. Full of fun though! I can't believe how much you squeezed into the day. Good thing you have bigger/good kids who can handle a whole day of playing. :)
That sounds like a great Saturday. Better to have too many plans than none and it seems like you did a good job of squeezing most all of it in.
I love that picture of Sadie begging Dana to come back out. Who could resist?
